In the current economic crisis, when it came time to make the tough decisions, our Republican legislature and Governor Brewer acted reactively, not proactively, and showed their true values. We watched as our public schools were gutted, healthcare access was limited, and unemployment soared.

That is precisely why I am running for the Arizona State House of Representatives. Arizona, now more than ever, needs leaders with a strong foundation in progressive values and a clear vision of how to not only get us back on track, but also how to propel us forward.

All Arizonans should receive a quality education, regardless of which neighborhood they live in. Every hard-working family should have the right to a family doctor. Arizona should invest in solar energy development in order to create jobs for Arizonans and ensure that we are responsible stewards of our unique Sonoran environment.
